I am Jon. I love Dr. Pepper -- the regular one. I can’t stand Diet Dr. Pepper; I would rather drink water than any diet soda. I have quite a few dental cavities; and my dentist blames that on my temptation to sweets. I am not diabetic … at least not yet. But I work in a medical facility; and I frequently encounter overweight patients with “metabolic syndrome X” — a cluster of conditions — increased blood pressure, a high blood sugar level, excess body fat around the waist and abnormal cholesterol levels — that occur together, increasing your risk of heart disease, stroke and diabetes. I don’t consider myself overweight, but I fear my children and their friends may become. That was how I got interested in drinking water.
I can’t be drinking Dr. Pepper and tell my kids to drink water, right? So at home we no longer have soda; and juice is rarely available. Our kids have a choice of either fat-free milk or water. I wish other families can do the same. What can we do to help our younger generation? When I discovered the fruit flavor infuser water bottle, I don’t think it’s the solution for every family … but it may be answer for a few. That makes it worth an attempt to promote the product; and that is how I started the Fitinfuser brand of infuser water bottles.
If you frequently drink soda, you may think that water always taste the same. That’s because your taste buds have gotten used to the sweetness and numb to the subtle different tastes of water. If you keep on drinking water for a while, you will notice this difference. When we traveled to a different city, we noticed the tap water taste different. We tried out different brands of bottled water, and noticed that most bottled waters are simply tap water from a different city. So in reality we buy bottled water simply because we do not like the taste of water of our own city. What if we can make our tap water taste better? With infuser water bottles, you can. You can infuse your tap water with the flavor of your favorite fruits. I hope that will help you enjoy drinking water more and avoid sugary drinks.
